Some spiced rums are merely colored, not aged; but this nut-brown spirit is made from a base of rum aged for four years in oak barrels. In that context, the substantial, oaky flavor makes perfect sense, rounded out by vanilla, dusty nutmeg and allspice. Mix with cola or ginger ale.

Combine all ingredients & warm in a saucepan over low heat or microwave on low in small increments of 10 seconds at a time until desired temperature. Garnish with cinnamon, cayenne, or sea salt to taste.
